
Darci Borski started her high school career at Nazareth Academy where she scored 100 goals. She was a four time Catholic Academies league MVP, Two Time All American, Gatorade’s Pennsylvania State Player of the Year, and had her Number 10 jersey retired.
She went on to play at the University of Virginia. She was an All ACC selection as well as leading scorer in 2002 and voted Most Outstanding Offensive Player. She was VASID All State and selected as ACC player of the week for back-to-back weeks, the only other player beside Mia Hamm and Debbie Keller to achieve this honor.
After college Borski was selected as the 20th overall pick in the Women’s United Soccer Association Draft by the Washington Freedom. She went on to play for the Philadelphia Charge and became the first Philadelphia native to score for the Charge.
After the WUSA suspended play, Borski went abroad to play professionally in Europe for Norway’s Asker Football Kvinner. She started for Asker at forward as well as outside mid and outside back where she played the majority of the season. She scored seven goals and was voted player of the game the last game of the regular season and called best defensive player in the Cup Final.
Borski recently stepped down as Head Coach of Germantown Academy Varsity Girlsβ Soccer. During her six years at GA Borskiβs team has captured four undefeated Inter Ac titles from 2005-2008. In 2007 Borski was crowned Southeastern Pennsylvania Soccer Association Coach of the Year. In 2008 her team finished with a #21 National Ranking by the NSCAA and #13 by ESPN. The Germantown Academy soccer team was named Philadelphia Inquirer Team of the Year and Borski was honored as one of the three finalists for the Philadelphia Inquirer Coach of the Year. During 2008 Borski was named Southeastern Pennsylvania Soccer Hall of Fame High School Coach of the Year as well as Times Herald Coach of the Year, an honor she repeated in 2009. In her six years as Head Coach, Borski has developed five Division One soccer players, one Regional All American, two All State Players, and twenty-eight All League players.
Darci now teaches Kindergarten at Franklin Towne Charter Elementary School.
